About the Role
Join IBM Consulting’s Client Innovation Center in Bangalore as an SAP ABAP Developer, where you will design, develop, and support high-quality, scalable SAP application solutions. You will work closely with clients to translate system requirements into customized system designs and deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support SAP NetWeaver ABAP applications
- Design and develop data dictionary objects (data elements, domains, structures, views, lock objects, search helps)
- Develop interactive, classical, ALV reports, dialog programming, and ALE/IDOC/EDI interfaces
- Work on RICEF components: Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms
- Develop and maintain Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs)
- Possibly design and re-engineer complex application components and integrate software across platforms
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Master’s Degree (Preferred)
Required Skills and Experience:
- 4-6 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
- Strong expertise in ABAP reporting (interactive, classical, ALV reports), dialog programming, ALE/IDOC/EDI interfaces
- Experience with RICEF development (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
- Preferred Skills
- Knowledge or certification on SAP HANA
- Experience with SAP Workflow
- Advanced ABAP BADI (Business Add-In) expertise
- Additional Information
- Work arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite + Remote)
- Travel: Up to 20% (approximately 1 day per week)
- Shift: General daytime
- No sales incentive or commission
